Training a Fallen. Empty Training a Fallen.

Post by Nikolai Forge Sat Jul 05, 2014 11:27 pm

Nikolai began to set up the bricks that would be used as practice dummies. He was planning on teaching someone how to manipulate basic fire. A Fallen Angel, to be exact was who he was teaching. Afterwards, he prepared a torch just for the hell of it. When he finished prepping the practice area, which was an old concrete field behind a school, he lie in wait, ready to teach.

I was flying high in the sky via the use of wind cannon to get to the location of someone who told me could teach me fire manipulation, an ability I knew Haku didn't have. When I see what looked like a training area I swooped down for a solid landing. "This appears to be the place..." I thought to myself.

Nikolai saw the man swoop down with a perfect landing. "Welcome to my class. I am told you needed a lesson in Fire Manipulation".

I smirk. "Ain't that a fact". I glance around. "So, you CAN teach me, right?"

"Manipulating Fire, or as I like to call it, Firebending is a very dangerous art. Hell, I'm actually kind of conflicted on it. The purpose of firebending is to bring on destruction and havoc in its wake. If you let your ego get the better of you, Fire will hurt you yourself as well as the people/area around you. I've seen people kill themselves because they thought they were big, and decided to go around bending the flame."

"Well...there really hasn't been much of a time I've had an ego, just a drive to at least match the strength of my 'executioner'". I look down "As for hurting myself and others, it sounds like it'd be best to use it sparingly..."

"I'm guessing your 'executioner' goes by the name of Haku Takashi?", Nikolai replied. "I heard he has a fetish for taking Fallens like you down."

"Agreed". I chuckle a bit. "Though it seems redundant because I was never truly an angel to begin with".

I shrug. "Yeah, roughly 185 years ago I was a human. That was also when I died and was reborn into an angel. They made me build weapons for the as that was what my family was known for. It went on until I figured out how the humans were being treated, and I took a stand. And now Haku wants my head for differing with the angels' opinions".

I chuckle "I guess that's understandable...Well, they execute people like me, and possibly try to wipe out anyone of your race if it wasn't for a few thin-lined treaty".

"Well, I hope they know we're not going down without a fight. And you would think the Angels would be focused on making sure their city and the surface world are in order. War will destroy the surface, so I try to avoid it. I don't know about all the others though."

"Sure. Check this out." Nikolai thrust his fist forward, and immediately a condensed ball of fire conjured itself up and hastened toward one of the stone bricks. The second the ball hit the brick, it exploded into a pebble-littered rain.

"Well, you just have to focus your energy into your hand and thrust. You might find it easier if you think of a fireball surging towards something."

"Sounds a lot like me using life energy, I'll give it a try". I take a deep breath and focus some energy into my hand. I then do a swift punching motion and a fire-ball spawned, exploding on contact with the brick. "Whoa...that was a lot of power behind one fireball..."
