Stopping for a bite

"I...I'm sorry..." She wanted to wrap her arms around him and hold him. She dare not to though. He would push her away and probably lash out.

"Yeah. I vowed that I would get revenge for my parents and kill all demons." I look at the wreckage from the fight. "In hindsight, I did overreact a bit."

Crimson grinned. "Let's clean up so the shop owners don't ban us." She walked over and grabbed a couple brooms.

"Eh, odds are I will never be back here anyway." I start picking up tables and chairs that were knocked over. "So since we are going to be here a while, we might as well get to know each other. I'm Darren. What's your name."

"...Crimson," she muttered as she swept up the debris. "I don't usually make small talk with people who tried to kill me," she looked over at him.

"Oh get over it! That was like two minutes ago! You need to learn to let things go." I look up and grin at her.

"And you need to learn that not every fucking demon or angel killed your parents!" Crimson shouted at him. He's so hot when he's mad...Wait what?! She shook her head and went back to sweeping.

Something in me snapped. I ran up and grabbed her by the throat and pinned her against the wall. "What did you just say!?"

"Not every demon or angel killed your parents. You don't have to kill all of them. Whaat if your soul mate, your other half, was a demon, would you kill them still?!" She spat her words like venom, glaring down at him.

I tighten my grip on her neck. I bare my fangs as I stare her in the eyes. Suddenly I pull her into a kiss.

Crimson gasped as he kissed her. She was stunned. Why the hell did he kiss her? First he was trying to choke her and now he's kissing her? She regained herself and started pushing him off her. "What the fuck?!"

I was as stunned as Crimson. WHY'D I DO THAT!? WHAT THE HELL!? "S-sorry. I don't know what came over me."

Crimson absentmindedly ran her fingers over her lips. Why did I like that...? She didn't know it but her thought came out in a breathless whisper.

"You know I can hear you right?" I grin at her. "You weren't the only one."

Crimson blushed a deep red. "Ignore that. It won't happen. You hate demons remember? You need to kill them all." She growled, replacing embarrassment with anger as she stormed out of the shop.

I follow her out. "I didn't kill you remember? Maybe you were right. Maybe the one for me could be a demon."

Crimson snorted. "Why because I knocked you on your ass? Because I spoke the truth? What do you waant from me, Darren?"

"I want you to slowdown!" I run in front of her. "I'm sorry! I overreacted. I know it was WAY too far trying to kill you over something that happened years ago. I know I'm a major dick and I know I ruined pretty much any chance I have at even friendship. I let my anger cloud my vision and now I realize that I shouldn't try to kill all demons over what is ancient history. Please, just give me a chance to prove myself."

"You should've thought of that before you pissed off a demon," She pushed passed him, anxious to get home. She wanted to take a hot shower and sleep and forget this encounter. Though something told her she wouldn't.

I tried to grab her. "Please don't go. I'm sorry!"

"And why should I stay?" She turned around to face him, red eyes blazing. "Why should I give you a chance?"

"Because that's not me! I want you to get to know the real me. Let's face it. I like you and I could tell by how you liked my kiss that you like me, whether you like it or not. You asked me what I want from you, well I want you."

Crimson stood there unsure how to respond. She wasn't even sure how to react. What the fuck am I supposed to say...? "I...I can't think on this right now." She turned on her heel and started towards her house again.

"I'm coming with you. I am going to follow you until you give me a chance." I start to follow her to her house.

"Be my fucking guest. No promises you'll get inside," she kept moving, keeping a fast pace. I hope he finds a way in... She thought idly to herself.
