Thinking Back

I felt her grab onto my arm as I looked at the menu "What all do you want?" (pick whatever to go with a burger)
I ask getting ready to signal a server to come over.

The girl felt happy. Turning back into a boy he spoke up.
"Fries will be good an a good drink. That all."

I flag down a waitress and order our food, "thats sure a neat trick" I say noticing the waitress bringing our drinks around.

The boy seem happy.
"I don't like people knowing what I really look like so I hid my self from time to time." he said as the lady came to them both. He just sat back an watched.

She put the drinks on the table and told us it would be a couple minutes longer until the food was ready. I then turned to him pulling down his hood "wearing hoods inside here makes you look even more suspicious" I take a drink and pull my journal out and slip the money to pau for the meal in the back before turning to a page and jotting down a few notes.

The boy didn't like the way the man touched him but, he got over it.
"Fine, I'll keep it down. It smells good in here!"

I look up from my journal putting my pencil to mark my place, "It sure does smell nice..." I sniff the air smelling succulent steaks, hamburgers, chicken and all the seasoning in the air all at once. I then take a drink and look at him "So Magi in training eh?" I look back at my drink using the straw to pull the soda up into the straw then releasing, "what exactly do you do to train? not that it's any of my business."

The boy was lost in the arroma of the smell around the area. Then after a moment he looked back at Quin.
"Focus is key to the magic I use. To use the power of the void is to know how to destroy your body so that you can build a new one." Looking at him the smiling at the sky.
"I do combat stands an gauge moves to strengthen my magic output an my level of focus." the boy said. It was only a few moments later before some woman approached us again holding something.

I listen contently as I sit back nodding, "Your damn right, as you said focus is key when it comes to a profession, a draft, or even magic." I look at him pointing at my rifle "That right there is one of my tools of my trade." I say before taking a long gulp of my drink as the waitress came with our food in hand.

The boy looked at the food then looked at the long thing the man had. then in a few seconds looked back at the food. The boy was hungry and the long pointy object didn't look at that importaint at the moment.
"Oh yeah, there is some thing I want you to have."
Opening his item void. "This is a void ring...It will help us to keep in touch." Pulling out the matching pair. "It works like this. Inside that clear orb is a small black void. You see, you speak there and it comes out here. I can hear your voice from up to about two miles." Hitting the two rings together. "I want you to keep it..." That when the lady put down the food. Everything looked good so he just started to eat. The ring was small and made of cheap iron with a inexpensive glass orb. The only thing in value was the dark void inside.

I look at the ring it was weightless but yet still there, I look up at him "I guess this is one way to contact someone..." I slip the ring into my jacket pocket and take a drink. I then take my plate and set it in front of me, it had an Angus beef steakburger with a side of sweet potato fries and some honey mustard to dip it in. "It looks delicious...." I say drooling a bit, before wiping my mouth and digging in.

The boy sacrifice the food that was going in. To tame the beast call his stomach. The boy was happy after a bit then he picked.
"Well I got to go now." He said leaving a few pieces of silver on the table. "We should get together sometime in the future." After that the boy walked off.

I had only taken a bite before the boy left suddenly, before I could finish the bite and get up he had disappeared. "Well then Angelo I'll make sure not to forget you..." I then sat back down and finished my meal writing down notes pertaining to business that I was doing before I stumbled upon the boy.
