Grabbing a bite to eat [open]

D was wandering around when he came to a river. He kneels down by the edge of the river and finds some fish. He takes out one of his knives and flicks his hand towards the fish. In an instant it is dead. Darren takes the first bite of his kill and the blood seeps into his mouth. He shudders in delight; it had been so long since he's had the taste of blood. He has always despised his urge for blood, for it was a vampire who took away his aunt, his only family. He has survived off of the only known substitute: tomato juice. Darren is disgusted in himself for enjoying the taste. He finishes the fish and leans up against a tree with one ear bud in and listens to music as he slowly starts to fall asleep.

I began to walk down the river, enjoying the cool breeze and sigh softly, wondering when Zinres will use her bet she up. "Man that will be interesting to say the least." With a glance down the river and see someone sitting down eating fish.

D hears someone walking and grabs one of his knives. He glances towards where the sound was coming from and sees the stranger. Darren keeps the knife hidden where he could get it if he needs it. He acts as if he had not seen the man and waits to see if he will approach him.

Feeling a little hungry and seeing that he has some fish, I decide to walk up to him and see if he is willing to share. "Hello, I don't suppose you have some spare fish do ya?" I don't notice that he pulled out anything, not wrried about him doing anything.

D looks up at him. "Hello there." Darren pulls out his hidden knife and throws it at the water and kills another fish. "There you go." He pulls out the fish and knife and cleans the blood from the blade. D cooks the fish for the stranger and tosses it to him.

"I was hoping it to be raw to be honest" I open my mouth to take a bite, showing my fangs as they dig into the fish, "Cooked well though. I'm ember, whats your name?" I greet him and smile warmly at him. Smart kid, had a knife ready in case I attacked him or something.

D chuckles. "Sorry. Didn't realize you were like me." Darren shows his fangs. "I'm Drake. Darren Drake. You can call me D"

"Thats why with our kind walking around you shouldn't make a mistake like cooking the other person food for them, unless its obvious what they are." I sit down and and yawn a little. "That was a trek and and half today." And brought back some memories as well.

"Yeah wasn't paying too much attention. Just woke up from a nap and was still a little tired. So what brings you out here?"

"Just went to get something from a place that I haven't been to in centuries." I shrug, not wanting to get to deep into it. "What about you?"

"I have been wandering around for centuries. I try not to stay in one place for too long. I don't know what I am searching for really." D looks up at the sky and just sighs. "I don't know."

"Sounds rather lonely, although I can't complain. I pretty much live the same way." I get up, ready to head home and prepare for whenever Zinres decides to make use of me. "Now if you don't mine, I have to prepare for a bet I lost." I sigh and begin to leave.

D looks up at Ember. "See ya." Darren gets up and starts to pack up. He walks to the river and catches one more fish and drains the blood from it and starts to leave. Darren stops and turns. He gets one last look of this place, for this may be the last time he comes he. D sighs and turns back and walks away.
