Meeting Up

Nikolai sat there, waiting for someone he had met to come. He wasn't running anything nice; just a pair of light blue jeans, some boots, and a dirty shirt(He had just came back from a mechanic job). He then thought about his Sword of Scaffold while he waited, wondering how such a big sword could fit into a little cross-shaped amulet.

Alicyn walked around looking for Nikolai. She looked around the streets, finally finding him. She was wearing her regular armor, but her hair was brushed and shiny. "Nikolai!" She called out, trotting up to him, smiling.

"Hm?" Nikolai thought as he turned around to see Alicyn, looking nice as always. "Greetings. I'm glad you came."

Alicyn smiled nicely. "Why wouldn't i? It's good to meet up with friends when you can." She said brightly. She gently blushed a little bit, realizing she sounded like a teacher.

"I'm actually kind of surprised that we didn't meet up at the campground," Nikolai replied. He knew that the girl was a keeper, but he didn't want to mess anything up.

Alicyn laughed a little. "We can't hang around there. The ghosts might get us." She joked, smiling. She made a scary face that was really cute, and fake claws with her hands. "Rawr! I'm a scary ghost coming to get you!" She said, then dropped the face and 'claws' and began laughing.

Nikolai also began to laugh, remembering of a time where he tried to beat up a ghost with a hockey stick. "That actually brings me to a story."

Alicyn slowly stopped laughing, but she continued to smile. "Really? Tell me!" She said happily, jumping up and down a little bit like a child. She sat down next to him, looking at him expectantly.

"Okay. One time, when I was about ten, I ventured out into the woods with nothing more than a hockey stick. I honestly don't know why I had it with me at the time - I don't even play hockey! So as I was walking, I saw this vapor-like creature come at me. I took my hockey stick, and started swinging. 'Take that, you damned burden!' Little did I know, the stick just went through the little guy. The ghost was getting ready to knock me down, when my older brother came over with this thermos-shaped vacuum and sucked the ghost up! I became angry and replied, 'What the hell man? I swing a damn hockey stick at that thing and nothing happens, and you open a thermos and it dissipates?!'" Nikolai let out a small laugh. "The days of my youth were the best, honestly."

Alicyn began laughing. "Well, that sounded fun! I wish I had a brother." She said, still smiling. "I spent most of my childhood training with my long swords, I didn't have time for much fun." She said, not smiling anymore. She looked a little sad.

"I actually started training with my Sword of Scaffold no more than a year ago," Nikolai replied. "I just got these twin blades from a friend." Nikolai had two sheathed swords on his back, each one with a red inline and light blue surrounding the gray metal.

Alicyn pulled out her sword a little. One glowed red and the other glowed with darkness. She put them back, smiling. "Looks like I've got a little bit of time on you." She laughed, her cheeks still a little red.

"I spent most of my time in fistfighting," Nikolai replied. "Swords aren't really my strongset."

Alicyn laughed a little. "Speaking of time, my birthday is coming up! I'm going to be 18 in human years." She said happily. "It's in a few days." She added, smiling.

"Good thing I have a couple days, I'm not really good at picking gifts. But how hard could it be?"

Alicyn giggled. "Well, hopefully you are a good guesser, cuz I'm not giving you any hints." She teased, smiling.

"I won't need any hints if I'm getting something for a fine lady like yourself."

Alicyn smiled at him, blushing. "Oh, you're such a gentleman!" She purred, laughing. She blinked her red eyes, her cheeks almost as red as them.

"On an unrelated note, I'm planning on visiting some of my family in a couple of days."

Alicyn looked unsure of what he was saying. "Oh, thats nice. Your parents must be really proud of you." She said, smiling a little at him.

"Only thing is, they probably don't know I'm a Demon. But it sure as hell is going to be nice to see my old man and the others."

Alicyn looked at him with a little bit of worry. "Oh. Im sure they will will love their son just the same." She said in a comforting way.

Nikolai thought for a bit, and sighed "I suppose you're right. I mean, I look the exact same as before."

Alicyn smiled. "Thats the right mind set!" She purred, gently touching his shoulder.

"I'll be back for your birthday though," Nikolai replied with a smile.
