Walking the streets

Bovinari's eyes were wide, not expecting Quindaro to react like that. "Uh... Ok..." She said hesitantly. She knew the man was rude, she knew that, but she didn't know Quindaro was capable of giving someone that look. She gulped, thinking about how she could be the target of that glare someday... She shook her head and forced a smile to her face.

I lead her out of the restaurant, "Sorry you had to see that, that was one of my many ways to deal with someone who doesn't accept 'excuse me' and move on" I say to her lightheartedly. I then take a drink and keep to her side, "Is there anything you want or want to ask before we head home?" I say taking another drink.

Bovinari stayed quiet. She was thinking. "Where do you leave?" She asked, still looking a little nervous. If he would suddenly say boo it looked like she would jump. She was half way lost it thought.

I look at her feeling the coffee run down my throat, "Just a couple blocks down..." I then tilt my head to the side seeing that she was a bit tense so placed my hand on her shoulder to comfort her, "Your safe as long as your with me..." I kept with her pace with a smile on my face, "If you'd like you could see me as an older brother, or however you'd like to look at it."

Bovinari looked at him with wide eyes. "Really? That... That's better then anything I could have hoped for!" She told him smiling. She felt as though her heart would fly out of her chest. Now she had a job, a home, and a brother.

I keep smiling at her while we walked, "you didn't answer me though, is there anything you'd like before we get home?" I say leading her through a small detour.

Bovinari thought for a moment, then shook her head. "I've already got all that I could have hoped for. Thank you." She said happily.

I chuckle "Alright we'll head home then." I take one last drink before leading her around the next corner seeing my house just down the street to the house, it was a more like a cottage that was a single floor with a small kitchen, a living room, and a good sized bedroom.

Bovinari smiled gently. "Alright." She said, following him. She looked around at the houses, wondering which was his.

We walk for about a minute as we cross the walkway to a single house on the corner. "here we go...home sweet home..." I say smiling as I unlock the front door and walk in.

Bovinari followed him happily, and when he opened the door, he might as well have opened the doors to a mansion. Her face looked filled with glee. "This is great!" She told him excitedly, and walked inside after him, looking around.

When we walked in I took my boots off and set them near a little table that had my rifle hanging above it before taking my bag off and putting it under the small table, "Would you like me to put some tea on?" I say hanging my jacket on a small coat rack. I then walked across the living room where there was a Fireplace, a Drafting table, a fairly big couch a coffee table and a small tv haning on the chimney.

Bovinari looked around. "Uh, sure..." She mumbled, walking into the living room slowly. She looked back and saw he took of his shoes. Blushing, she took off her and put them next to his. Then she saw the rifle, and stared at it for a moment. Shaking her head, she walked back to the living room. She carefully sat on the couch, still looking around as if she needed to memorize every detail.

I walked into the kitchen and put the water on, I then walk back out seeing her being kinda stiff. I sit down on the couch and lean back into it "It's alright you can loosen up a bit" I tell her with a gentle tone.

Bovinari looked at him with a sheepish smile, then leaned back. "S-sorry." She giggled, smiling at him. Her face burned red and she looked away, still blushing.

I scoot over to her and put my arm around her, "No need to be so embarrassed..." I say smiling at her.

Her face burned a deeper red. "O-Ok" She said, looking down at her lap. He was so close... Yet it felt nice...

I kept her close "You've been alone for 3 years... it's about time you've had a good hug now." I say lightly laying my head upon hers.

Bovinari's face still burned red. "You're right..." She mumbled, letting herself lean into him. She started smiling a little bit.

I hugged her for a few minutes more, "I'm always here for you" I say to her slowly running my fingers through her hair a bright smile on my face. Once she was finished I got up and went into the kitchen to get the tea prepared.

Bovinari continued to blush. "Thank you Quindaro." She said, smiling at him. She relaxed into the couch, eyes half closed. She gently touched her own hair, remembering how nice it felt when his fingers went through her hair.

After making some tea I poured two cups and head back into the living room. After sitting on the couch and setting my cup on the coffee table and handing her a cup, "After this we better hit the hay, got a long day tomorrow." I say smiling at her

Bovinari nodded, sitting up and sipping the tea. She yawned once or twice. "Sounds good." She said.

I picked up my tea and sat back in the couch letting my body relax after having a long day. I take a sip before pulling a few papers off of the coffee table and start to gander at them as I drank.

Bovinari looked at the papers with interest as she sipped at the tea. "Um, what are those?" She asked quietly.
